Entries will be accepted as from the 15th. October 1938 at noon. They will be received :

a) With a 50 % reduction up to the 20th. December 1938 at 6 p.m.
b) With a 30 % reduction up to the 31st. January 1939 at 6 p.m.
c) With a 15 % reduction up to the 28th. February 1939 at 6 p.m.
d) On full payment of fees up to the 31st. March 1939 at 6 p.m.
e) On payment of treble fees up to the 1st. May 1939 at 6 p.m.

Entry fees remain the property of the race fund except in a case of " force majeure " preventing the holding of the Le Mans 24 hours race regarding which the Automobile-Club de l'Ouest shall be sole judge. In such a case the organisers cannot be held responsible to competitors and their liability would be limited solely to the refund of the fees cashed.

TECHNICAL PARTICULARS

Art. 36. - Competitors who have entered are under obligation to forward to the Automobile-Club de l'Ouest at Le Mans so that the latter may have received it at latest on the 20th. May at 6 p.m. the complete indication of the characteristics of the cars entered and more particularly the following :

a) Indication of the type and year of creation
b) Fiscal power
c) Catalogue denomination
d) Number of cylinders of the engine
e) Make of the engine
f) Cylinder capacity mentioning 1. - Bore; Stroke corresponding to the engine not staggered; 3. - Stagger as shown in the catalogue of the model entered.
g) Carburettor and make
h) Supercharger arrangements (if any)
i) Kind of ignition and make
j) Lighting devices and headlamps with makes
k) Wheels and makes; independent or otherwise; front and rear.
l) Nature of windscreen and substance used
m) Sizes of tyres, makes and method of fixing (clincher or wired)
n) Brakes (number) and indication of the nature of the self-energising brake employed
o) Shock absorbers (make and method of operation).
p) Names of the two drivers as provided in article 9 of the regulations.

Entries in respect of which said information has not been received within the time stipulated may be cancelled by the Stewards, the fees remaining the property of the race fund.

Art. 37. - Before the operations of checking cars, the A.C.O. will draw up a list of the competitors who have incurred penalties owing to failure to check in accordance with the regulations.
