Dear Mr. Hopkins,

Lead Bronze Clutch Facings.

We have now completed our examination of the clutch after the preliminary tests on your lead bronze facings, and we are glad to say that the results appear to be exceedingly promising.

We are very anxious to get hold of the second batch of material which you very kindly said you were sending over, and shall be glad to know whether it is yet on the water, or not.

We have 100 clutches of an old type to which we could immediately fit this bronze facing and get experience forthwith if you could let us have the necessary material.

There was a slight error in reading the drawing which has not prevented us using the pieces, but if you are supplying any more I should be glad if you would see that the drawing is read correctly.

We are sending a separate letter which describes the error made in the first pieces.

Yours sincerely,
