We have shewn on Fig 2 a suggested modification to the mounting of the internal magnet, with a view to its possible simplification. With reference to "N" Scheme 739 we have made the filler cap to the same pieces as the 40/50 because the apparatus whether tins or hose supplying patrol willbe the same size. We consider that the filler and filter can be got in without disturbing the tank, and that the tank itself can be dismounted as a whole without difficulty. We have shewn the diagonal supporting stay pointing to the rear, and of the same length as the vertical one for a manufactur-ing convenience, but we think perhaps it might be preferred to put it to the front, as it simplifies the dismounting of the filler and the tank to some extent. With reference to the reserve fuel device, we have thought that you might prefer to make use of two-way cock in the case of this car on the grounds of expense and simplicity, and we have suggested this on our scheme. As drawn, the cross section of the tank was intended for a 36" frame, and for a 34" it would be rather under the correct capacity, but we thought we would not alter it until we got your views on the scheme as a whole.
