I note the position in regard to this car and that it is a question of opinion as to whether the cross member in itself is of any help in this respect, but that in any case you want this on in order to get the full effect of the bumper car when it is fitted.

Of course we have not agreed to standardise the bumper car except for cars which are permanently on the Continent and do not want to do so unless forced, merely on account of the extra weight of 35 lbs. and the cost per car, namely about £7.10.0 (to us) including fitting.
If this 35 lbs is added to the 47 lbs the chassis is already increased by (Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KW8.3.35) it makes a total of 82 lbs. extra weight.
