-5- Nature of Complaint. Valve Springs. Exhaust Cut-out sticks. (Handwritten) We have not experienced this trouble since fitting the direct control and stop. We should like to see a cut out of this type which is subject to this complaint in order to find a remedy for it. No. of Cars. W. 4. N. 7. P. - 11. Not recorded last quarter. W. 12. N. 14. P. - 26. Not recorded last quarter. Remarks. We have now got several steels with improved heat treatment and tempering that will ensure prolonged life. These will shortly be on production. Said to be caused by distortion after the cut-out has been in use for some time with the car travelling at high speeds. There are complaints of sticking on chassis which are fitted with positive controls. Hm. {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
