contd :- -3- miles test car fitted with springs manufactured by Lemoines, Paris INCREASE IN OIL CONSUMPTION. Experimental investigation tests are now being carried out on this car to prove the cause of the increase in oil consumption. There has been no signs of the plugs over-oiling at any time during the test. TIGHTENING UP OF SLIPPER WHEEL - Spring Drive. This point is being investigated at Derby. We find it is difficult to reproduce it. BONNET AND FITTINGS. That point is being taken up with W.W. OCCASIONAL TAPPET NOISE. Although occasional tappet noises are complained of, the silence of the valve gear generally has been very good, very much better than the Silver Ghost.
