-2- Licensees as hereinafter provided and also in consideration of the royalties hereinafter reserved and made payable of the covenants and agreements by the Licensees hereinafter contained the parties hereto of the first four parts to the extent of their respective joint and several interests in the Letters Patent, particulars of which are set out in the First Schedule hereto hereby jointly and severally grant unto the Licensees a non-exclusive licence and Authority to manufacture within Great Britain and to sell in all parts of the world heavy oil direct injection compression ignition engines embodying the system described by the said Letters Patent (in this Deed referred to as "the Kadenacy System") for road vehicle purposes. The said sum of shall be paid by the Licensees to Armstrongs at the date on which the first engines made under this license go into production. 2. THIS Licence shall continue for the period of ten years from the date hereof or for the life of any Patent relating to the Kadenacy System incorporated in any engines manufactured by the Licensees or any extension thereof whichever is the longer period unless determined by Armstrongs under the provision hereinafter contained. 3. THIS Licence shall extend to all future inventions improvements Letters Patent and Applications relating to the Kadenacy System for heavy oil direct injection compression ignition engines to be used for the purposes set out in Clause 1 hereof which shall at any time be owned or controlled by Armstrongs or in respect of which they shall be entitled to grant or call for the granting of Licences. 4.
