BENDIX PINION.

The number of threads on the Bendix Pinion specified from the D.O. were two, that is, a square thread with two starts. The leads of the thread were made in exact accordance with the Lucas, as we assumed that since the Lucas Starter was running that the pitch that they were using should be satisfactory. We are now awaiting the result of Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} experiments when we will modify the lead of the thread to correspond with what he finds to be necessary.
