J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} for R.{Sir Henry Royce} 25.3.14. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/G25314. With reference to the special celluloid glass in the windscreen of 2704, this is called "Triplex" glass, and several samples have been on test in the Experimental Dept. The principle objection seems to be that the celluloid discolours and loses it transparency after a certain length of time, especially when exposed to much bad weather. One sample fitted to a covered car here is practically as transparent as ordinary glass, but another sample on an open car is quite yellow.
