Y41314 Copy for Miss Gill. Exp.Dept. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}9/H5.4.22. Re. GOSHAWK II. I attach herewith chart showing the actual horse power given off at the road wheels when the chassis was tested on the dynamometer. Also a record of the horse power shown when the engine was tested on the unit test bed. On the unit test bed the standard unit test bed silencer scheme was used, which absorbed practically no horse power, but on the dynamometer, the standard silencer was fitted, as supplied with the car.
