FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR. LESLIE.
Dear Sirs,
Order 60794.
In reference to the rubber part F.86411, you mentioned to us when at the works on Friday last that there was no objection to us placing pegs in the mold to locate the insert, and in view of the fact that we now find it is impracticable to mold the rubbers with recesses to fit the inserts, after vulcanizing the inserts into position, we should be pleased to have your confirmation in writing that we can proceed in accordance with your suggestion, or alternatively increase the outside diameter of the insert so that it will fit in the bottom of the mold.
Awaiting the favour of your reply with interest.
Yours faithfully,
FOR THE COMPANY.
P.S.
This point has been previously brought up in your letter of the 24th July, Ref.ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS.18/p", and in the 1st paragraph you state that you prefer us to make these without drilling holes in the washers.
All Contracts and Orders are booked and Quotations given, subject to our right to withdraw or cancel same (without liability on our part), by reason of the interruption of due delivery, short supplies, or abnormally affected prices of Raw Material, arising from Strikes, Fire, or through causes beyond our control.
