Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/Mcr7/L21714. Re Cross Steering Levers. X.701 J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 21-7-14. Re Mr Royce's memo concerning a later design of Cross Steering Lever breaking rather quickly on the bumping test, we wish to confirm that there are no levers like this fitted to any cars on the road, with the exception of the two experimental cars 58NA{Mr Nadin} and 7CA. Mr Day has measured up the one on 7CA and finds that it is a good deal thicker than the one which broke and he has written to Mr Royce suggesting that he has the one on 58NA{Mr Nadin} also measured up. The samples which broke on the bumping test were considerably under size compared with the drawing. p. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} | ||
