Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} The over-drive gearbox is a very urgent matter, and we cannot therefore hinder the point of introduction of the box, which has already been arranged at 101st. chassis in 'D' series by any proposal to bring the gears into line with certain standard proposals projected for the future. The box must be issued and produced as tested, which represents the form in which the drawings have been already issued. Will the Tool Office kindly note that no changes will be made either at the present moment or during the life of the box. Any proposals for modification to certain standard views will not be introduced until the universal box, at which time they will be given consideration. BM BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
