TO EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL E2/M2.3.23. RE. AMERICAN CHASSIS ALTERATIONS. X3614 In reply to your EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}5/H27223, as I was not present during the whole of the time you were with Mr. Royce on the occasion of your last visit to WW. I am not aware how far exactly matters have gone, but I have made out the attached report in reply to a note from Mr. Johnson which represents the position so far as I understand it. Where-ever we are waiting for a decision from Mr. Royce, there appears to be insufficient in-formation available. Can you kindly obtain this information? It will be noted in connection with item No. 12. that Mr. Royce would like an experiment made by Mr. Hives, dealing with end slack in the intermediate wheel hub of the 40/50 engine gears.
