-3- Minute No.9. Wider Front Brakes. Wider Front Brakes were referred to by Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} He said that they were not in trouble with brakes and he had no complaints to make. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said that in any case we are not ready with the wider front brakes and are not anxious to add any extra weight to the front axle which might encourage steering trouble. Minute No.10. Steering. With regard to steering, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} said that it is proposed to still stick to the standard 40/50 H.P. Steering and he stated that the experimental steering on 25-EX in France is not to be proceeded with in its present form. Minute No.11. Sealed Filler and Vent, for Petrol Tank with concealed luggage grid. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} referred to the sealed filler and vent for petrol tank with concealed luggage grid. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} stated that the tools for the concealed grid would be rather costly and in view of the small number of grids likely to be supplied the cost per grid would be high. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} was requested to give an estimate of the number of grids likely to be required in the series of 100 chassis. After further discussion it was agreed that the petrol Tank should be lowered on the next series so that the grid may be fitted if so decided. Minute No.12. Exhaust Silencer Modifications to cure crackles. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} referred to Exhaust Silencer Modifications to cure crackles. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} stated that the work at this end is not far enough advanced to enable anything to be standardised. The car on 10,000 miles test in France at the moment is giving trouble with certain parts. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} stated that some of the parts which are giving trouble in France we are actually committed for in the next series and some modification is necessary before being put into production. | ||
