CONTINUATION. DONALD SESSIONS & COMPANY, LIMITED. - 2 - Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. 23rd January, 1936. control, details of this have now been completed and the necessary parts are being made in our shops. The general arrangement of this has worked out very well indeed and has been incorporated with your suggestions of what you require on the dash control. It will not be necessary to remove the pump from the engine to enable the new control to be fitted and the only modifications which will probably be necessary will be the widening of the hole in the aluminium dash board and also the hole in the facia board into which the control fits. Details of these modifications we will let you have in the course of a post or so. Needless to say, we are not wasting a moment in getting this control completed and on to the car, but you will appreciate a new casting is necessary for the dash control and this is being finished as quickly as possible. We have been carrying out a number of experiments with a view to definitely throwing the pump out of action after it has completed the lifting of the car to enable the engine to be continuously run while the jacks are held in their raised position. Our experiments have shown that this can be done quite simply and we propose putting through a modified pump incorporating this feature. Meanwhile, we shall be glad to know if we can be of any further assistance or service to you. Yours faithfully, FOR DONALD SESSIONS & COMPANY LIMITED. L. Donald Sessions Director DWS/IKS P.S. As sketches are now ready we enclose these, in connection with alteration to metal dash and facia. | ||
