- 2 - S/W. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/LAM.11.9.34. head. we are fitting baffles. On the present batch of bodies these vents are at the side and the water is extracted by the passage of air along the side of the car. (6) The front floorboard needs supporting at the rear on the top of the tunnel over the propeller shaft. This is done on the later bodies. (7) The driving seat cushion has become weak and the springs need strengthening. (8) The paintwork at the top of the rear boot has blistered. This is being attended to and the paintwork in general is being touched up where damaged. (9) There is an elusive creak in the rear squab which the Coachbuilders will remove. The car will be ready for Mr. Downs to collect on Friday evening. We do not know who is issuing the instructions for these repairs to be carried out. Derby sent the car to Park Ward, and whilst the Coachbuilder is prepared to do free of charge such work as is the result of faulty construction, they would like to know whether we or the owner will pay for the work which is the result of fair wear and tear.
