- 2 - It was explained that we wish to produce six cylinder engines to have cylinder bores of 3.00", 3.25" 3.5" and 3.75". Vs.{J. Vickers} suggested that these could be produced from one pattern, we are, therefore, to present the four prints of the various crankcases to Knagg so that the pattern can be produced by the following concern: Mr. Goss, Pattern and Model Maker, Harper Road, Coventry. Eight Cylinder Engine. To clear up the eight in line with the "six" above, the following must be appreciated. We say that the most up to date version of the light cylinder in the "Alum 8", and further, that the cast iron version can be produced from the same pattern. We understand that this will make the crankcase slightly on the unnecessarily heavy side, because the cylinder bore sections and the "roof" of the case will be thicker than actually required. Patterns. We are to have a general sort out and "stock take" of experimental chassis patterns at Shardlow. These are to be correctly labelled, and a revised list compiled, so that we know precisely what the patterns stored at Shardlow will produce. At the same time, the six cylinder patterns are to be collected together, and sent to Goss at Coventry, so that the conversion previously mentioned, can be carried out.
