Description of Parts: FABRIC COUPLINGS WITH PLATES RIVETTED ON INSTEAD OF SCREWS AND FERRULES. Origin: To improve the life of the coupling. Experimental Test Report. We have had a number of failures of the screws and ferrules on P.11. Our rig tests show 100% improvement in life if the rivetting is carried out properly. Road Test Report. We have run three or four 10,000 mile tests on rivetted couplings. Coupling reported in good condition after 5,000 miles on 23-EX. Weight of Old Part. Weight of New Part. Difference per Car.
