Hanbury - Head Complaints} J 305. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}2/MJ.2.6.30. FABRIC COUPLINGS. Replying to PN.{Mr Northey}2/WT27.5.30. A certain amount of trouble has been experienced with fabric couplings on Phantom 11 cars. We have issued a Depot Sheet which deals with one form of the trouble i.e. the fracture of the bolts holding the plates together, and at the present moment we are investigating the conditions under which the coupling works, to see if there is any reason why it should give more trouble than on Phantom 1.
