Issues with wearing pads in hydraulic dampers and a request for an extractor tool.

Re. Hydraulic Dampers.
The wearing pads in the pistons appear to be giving trouble owing to two causes.
I) Too soft, causing hollows to form.
2) The surface breaking up (Too hard).
The latter were found on 22.G.V.
Could you inform me whether there is an extractor to withdraw the pads. Neither Paris nor Cricklewood have one, and in most cases the spiggot of the pad is broken in getting them out.
