CUSTOMERS' COMPLAINTS.

Failure of Ignition due to shorting of lead from coil to distributor due to copper braiding being fitted on lead wire.

With reference to Ha/Wst.I/JH.3.8.36 memo.

If Ha/Wst had taken notice of the electrical complaints of customers, a considerable amount of money would have been saved.

His memo is very helpful and customers can still go on having a complete failure of their ignition owing to the shorting of the main lead wire due to the copper braiding. The setting in of the rotor blade has not been more than .0015. To say that it interferes with the ignition is ridiculous. There has been no danger of the blade catching the points to cause upsetting the automatic advance. It has not become a practice of doing this job and has not been instructed. It has been tried and was given in my memo as a suggestion to overcome a complaint if it did arise. To overcome the many complaints we require assistance.
