Allan Swinden} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Oln. 1. BRAKES. No results obtained so far from 4.P.JO and 30.G.VII. The aluminium wider drum and the drum cum hub have been designed and are being detailed. We still have to find out why the pedal pressure to which the first set of aluminium drums has been fitted is heavy. The design for the wider rear drums has been completed, also the combined front hub and drum, which should be detailed when the Myta is finished. 2. BODY MOUNTINGS. Nothing has yet been done about this. 3. ALUMINIUM CRANKCASE. This is waiting for the crankcase that is being machined to take the correct size of bearings. 4. NOISES. 30 G.V.I is as quiet as when it was built up. So far, no adverse report. 5. PROPELLOR SHAFT. It has been proved that propellor shaft periods can be eliminated by balancing with jubilee clips. 6. 12.S.V. GEARBOX. The gearbox was fitted with a new side shaft in better material and crowded rollers. | ||
