COPY. Hsl/LG. Messrs. Rapson, Burlington Rd., New Malden, Surrey. 19th. Feb. 1924. Dear Sirs, We attach herewith our fortnightly report on the S.S. cord tyres. You will see from this that after 8300 miles, the rear tyres had worn the tread away. The mileage of these tyres is slightly above the average we get for rear tyres running under similar conditions, but we have had individual tyres run longer mileage. The tyres which have been running on the front show very little sign of wear, but in our Records of tyres, we only consider the rear tyres. We are returning the two rear covers to you. We must leave it to you as to whether you re-tread these tyres and we go on running them, or whether you will replace them with a set of double-treaded tyres. In any case, we should be pleased to supply you with reports on their behaviour. Yours faithfully, MADE AT CROWLEY | ||
