RAPSON TYRE & JACK COMPANY, LTD. CONTINUATION SHEET No. -2- E.W.Hines.Esq., are now running on the 20 H.P. model, I shall be most grateful if you would kindly let me know the following :- 1. Is the car still being run at an average speed of 30 M.P.H. ? 2. What is the average life of other makes of tyres when fitted to the rear wheels ? 7300 miles 3. What is the greatest distance yet run by any make of tyre during your trials on the back wheels ? 9852 miles In connection with query No.2. you will remember when the treads had worn on the rear casings and we were about to take same back for retreading at 8,000 odd miles, you said in your letter that the treads had worn through and had done slightly better mileage than the average. I, therefore, take it that round about 8,000 miles would be the average, but as you mentioned in the same letter that individual tyres in different makes had exceeded this mileage, I am naturally anxious to hear if any of these tyres have reached the mileage now shown in your latest retread Rapson tyres, namely, front 13,808 and rear 12,884. Yours faithfully, RAPSON TYRE AND JACK COMPANY, LTD., F.{Mr Friese} Lionel Rapson Managing Director. This letter was dictated by Mr. Rapson. | ||
