Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Copy to Mr. Maddocks. LID{A. J. Lidsey} 8180. See me Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}3/T21.1.32. Re Cars in the Experimental Dept. We have decided to use 14-EX in place of 9-PK on Transport work, and further, we are going to use 12-G-4 in place of 7-CA, also on Transport work. I note that within the next month you will also be able to get rid of 22-EX. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} agrees that we can keep the left hand car, although he does not want to spend any money at all at present on the left hand proposition for America, we want the position to clear up a bit before we go any further with the left hand.
