8180. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} From HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}6/MA.20. 1. 32. 12.G.IV. As we have no further use for chassis 12.G.IV, it has been decided to dispose of it. The chassis itself is very old and represents no particular series, it is at present fitted with a 20 HP engine, has not got centralised chassis lubrication, and is fitted with cross members to suit the synchromesh gear box. The body is in rather a bad condition generally i.e. requires thoroughly overhauling and repainting. We are of the opinion that the cost necessary to being the chassis up to any particular series standard and to renovate the body would more than we should expect to receive if sold as a second hand car. We would suggest that this car might be used as a transport car in place of 7 CA which we understand is in a very bad condition. 12.G.IV. would be less costly to run for transport purposes than 7 CA, its only disadvantage being that it has rather a small body. We should be glad to have your views on this matter. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
