With reference to attached, the reason we do not recommend Vacuum Oils is the fact that they are pure mineral oils. Our experience has taught us that the best lubricating oils are compound oils such as Prices' and Wakefield's.
Although I do not think we could ever recommend Vacuum Oils we quite agree that in some parts of the world it may have to be used on R-R Cars because of no other supplies being obtainable. For instance, Mr. Peat in Australia uses Vacuum Oil on R-R cars because he cannot obtain anything else. We are recommending Mr. Peat to see whether it is not possible to obtain compound oils in Australia for use instead of Vacuum.

We are at present continuing our tests with different makes of oils with the idea of being able to supply our customers with an alternative of 'prices' for Car work.
