contd:- -2- please wire us. As regards the spare throats, we take it that these are the high speed throats only and are preparing the following sizes - .7 .685 .675 .665 and .65. Those we have to make will be in bronze but we are sending you aluminium ones in cases [where] we have these already made. The air valve we are sending will have no air ports but we will send tackle so that you will be able to fix in such ports as you desire. We should be glad if you could keep us in touch with your experiments and results on the carburetter as we certainly hope to be in a position, after we have despatched 6/7-Goshawk-11, to be able to concentrate on experimental work of this description I want you to realise that the "lock-out" is affecting us very seriously and the restrictions that we have to contend with are daily getting worse and we are unable to get jobs done especially parts produced, and possibility of getting a special push with any job is getting worse. I want you to appreciate at this stage, one must not expect too much and you may rest assured that we shall give all the points raised by you or R.{Sir Henry Royce} every possible consideration and will certainly let you know what is the best we can do. We have not been able to do anything further with the rattle in the gear box on 6-Goshawk-11, and if we are able to do anything, we will let you know. I feel, however, it may be a good thing for the car to be run to see whether this improves, at the same time, it may be a good thing for the trouble to be realised and appreciated by you at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.
