Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Referring to your memo Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/ML.1.5.40, I cannot agree that we should start any research on the Aspin Valve Gear. I consider that at the present time we have enough lines of research under-going consideration, design and development without taking on a new one of rather un-known merits. The main question of two stroke versus four stroke is, as you know, being fully thrashed out by the Company at the moment. I think we should keep in touch with the results of Aspin's own experiments, but that we should not supplement his work ourselves. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
