Unr. from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 11D9 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/ML.15.5.40. The visit to Aspin has now been provisionally arranged for Wednesday of next week. He has received the overhead camshaft engine and has got out provisional schemes for converting this to 2-stroke and 4-stroke with the Aspin valve. I suggest that you have some drawings of the top of the overhead camshaft block and the stud centres to which we can refer when we go over there. It appears that the only trouble that Aspin has run into is the positioning of the cylinder stud. Incidentally, the aviation people have made a lay-out at Blounts Mill which you should see between now and Wednesday. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
