From 'R' to 'Hs' suggesting modifications to an EAC chassis regarding springs and brakes for safety.

X. 8770 X. 8420 I am particularly anxious that you should try an EAC. chassis with the following modifications :- (1) Slightly stiffer front springs. (2) Slightly less fierce brakes. (3) Slightly less braking on front wheels. (4) Slightly slower servo speed. All these would I think contribute towards safety, and an absence of jaggering brakes. About this latter phenomenon I shall be pleased if you will let me have information as to whether there has been and re-currence in our experience. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
