EAC. 'V' SERIES - INDUCTION PIPE BENDS. 8070
On 98-NK car which has completed 10,000 miles in France, it was found that the induction pipe bend is cracked as shewn in attached sketch.
We have also had two other cases of cracks occurring in exactly the same place on other engines.
E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} left instructions for a slight modification to the casting and also that these bends should be tried in aluminium. We are expecting to have some of these on test in two or three days.
