RC{R. Childs} / 1001 April 21st. 1938. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}3/AP. F.Dallin Paul, Esq., 43 Oxford St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, LONDON W.1. Dear Sir, We thank you for your letter of the 10th instl and information regarding the R.L. Cut Out. Our present system, however, is perfectly satisfactory and we have no justification to even try the cut out. There are several points about this type of arrangement that in our opinion are not desirable. We have had a similar scheme in operation for some time on one of our rig engines which is left running without attention and switches off in the event of oil pressure failure. You will from this understand that although we are grateful for the information given, we have no interest in it for our product. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
