T.C. Skinner Esq.,
The S.U. Company Ltd.,

Birmingham 8.

Dear Mr. Skinner,

Many thanks for your letter, together with needles and seatings. I note your remarks.

We have not actually tested these seatings ourselves, but according to production they gave continual trouble and were removed and cleaned several times before being finally condemned.

However, you will no doubt agree that the seating you have returned as being O.K. has a very large burr half way round and that this would tend to collect any foreign matter which passed that way and so give trouble.

Reverting to the modified type of float chamber, we did not fully discuss this matter, and if possible we should like to try a pair out, incorporating the modifications suggested by Mr. Elliott.

Yours sincerely,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
