ALL CHASSIS : PETROL PUMPS.

With further reference to letter dated the 2nd.instant received from Mr.Skinner of The S.U.Company,and dealing particularly with the penultimate paragraph in which he says that he was not personally aware that there had been any discussion in regard to petrol pump failures, we attach hereto copy of letter dated the 27th.June last which we addressed to Mr.Skinner dealing with this matter, and we should be glad if you would send this on to him.

In regard to our memo BY/Cgh.{W Clough}1/W.7.9.36,in which we pointed out that retrospective action must be taken in regard to chassis which had been delivered with the type of valve which has given trouble, we now find that the valve fitted in the petrol pumps for the Bentley chassis is not the same as that supplied for the 25/30 H.P.and "Phantom III",and that the valves in the Bentley petrol pumps are not likely to get jammed. Under these circumstances, retrospective action need only be taken in regard to the two Rolls-Royce chassis.
