GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 8/6. BY/RD4/W.14.2.35. P.100 HEADLAMPS. With reference to the two failures which have occurred where the bracket holding the dipping mechanism has broken, we have been in communication with Messrs.Lucas, who reply as follows :- "In connection with the fracture of two dipping unit brackets on P.100 headlamps, we confirm our statement that we have made enquiries from our Service people who report that such occurrences are practically non-existent. As you no doubt know, we have made large quantities of these lamps with the dipping unit incorporated." At the present moment we have been unable to get them to do anything and they seem very reluctant to alter their design. BY/RD.
