Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Sft{Mr Swift}/Mr.Brock. aD. X6079 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/AD23.2.32. In spite of R's criticism of self-lubricating bearings, there are some positions on the car where they may become "life saving". Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has reported a number of P.2. starter failures in U.S.A. - we feel convinced that these faults are due to the freezing of the oil on the starter motor bush. If we could get a self-lubricating bearing to work in that position it would be a great help. We do not think we shall ever adopt self-lubricated bushes extensively but we think it is very useful for Mr.Brock to carry on his experiments. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
