RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. 19 To Order No PB123 (3) Customer's No. at a pressure of about four RMS volts, when the current taken was 1.6 amperes as compared with .9 ampere which was the current taken by two Z coils on the same test. Finally, this winding was unwound turn by turn but the small fault that existed could not be definitely located. The current passing in the winding at the time gradually dropped from 2.45 amperes to 2.0 amperes while the second and third layers were being removed. When examined, the insulation on the wire over this length appeared quite alright although like the rest of the primary wire, it was in places covered with a green corrosion. It is possible that on twelve volts the whole of the two layers was sufficiently affected to bring about the failure. Signed C.H.P. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
