Although it has been made clear that thermometers are not to be a standard fitting on engines fitted with thermostats, we trust that arrangements will be made for the top water pipe to be finished off with a fitting having a plain union, so that the thermometer can be fixed if so desired by the customer. I feel sure there will be a number of customers who require same. Apart from this, we consider it necessary so that the water temperature can be checked as satisfactory whilst the engine or chassis is being tested. | ||
