LES For the attention of D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Leslie Esq. Dear Sirs, Will you please accept our apologies for the delay which has occurred in our acknowledging receipt of your communication dated the 28th ult., which was entirely due to the fact that the writer was absent from the Works for some few days subsequent to delivery at Leyland. We are very interested indeed to hear that Mr. Max Fleischmann is coming to this country shortly to demonstrate a hydraulic anti-rolling system which is connected to the shock absorbers, and developed under the system called 'Stabilus'. We would advise you that the set of parts which we have had under discussion is definitely of the type marketed under the title 'Stabilus', and we are somewhat at a loss to understand why, when you tried this system about a year ago on a Ford car the riding was so hard that the owner was told not to return until he could demonstrate a less harsh riding. Our own experience here on the Ford is that the riding qualities are in no way impaired by the fitting of the Stabilus equipment, but as regards roll and cornering, there is definitely no comparison between the ford as produced and with the equipment fitted. | ||
