62nd Meeting Oct.23rd.11.
Re Zinc Aluminium Alloy.
Mr Nadin drew attention to an article in the "Mechanical Engineer", (last week's issue) dealing with this matter.
The Committee suggested that this point should be brought up again in a fortnight.

68th Meeting Oct.31st.11.
Re "Y" steel.
Mr Nadin drew the attention of the Committee to a cutting from "Motor Traction" of Oct.21st. with reference to "Y" steel, forwarded to him by Mr Johnson, who asks if the Committee have taken into consideration the steel referred to.
The Committee do not think there is any advantage to be obtained in using what is described as the "natural alloyed steel". The article referred to in the paper is undoubtedly supplied by the manufacturer.
We are obtaining excellent results from the steels we now use, and we should not care to carry out experiments with other steels, especially any steels coming from America.
