Re: Bentley B.166.LS. Mileage 1421. I am forwarding to you a bearing taken from the above chassis after a very short mileage ( New from the Works). This bearing was approximately .002 slack in the housing, examination of the faces show that it has not been nipped up by the shims. The back of the shells show that the hammering effect is starting to bell the bearing. This shows the contrast between the bearing I sent up after running 4000 miles with the K.{Mr Kilner} method of fitting as against the old method of .004" nip only. GWH.{George W.
