C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 25HP. SIDE WHEEL CARRIER.

The stay that we all thought might do some good is quite useless, and we have decided to try to get the stay to the dash without spoiling the appearance.

Apparently the only reason for plates on the engine arms is to help frame stiffness for the wheel carrier. If so, they should be lower down, and perhaps longer ones. I would expect the engine to feel smoother without these plates. They were originally introduced for frame lateral stiffness, but as we are not using the equivalent on P.2. there is no need on the 25HP.
