ALTERNATIVE SOLID ONE PIECE STARTING HANDLE - WRAITH III.

We send you herewith Lec.5623 of alternative one piece starting handle for Wraith III. Will you please detail Scheme 1 on this Lec. and instruct it to be fitted to one of the three experimental Wraith engines.

This handle is made from solid bar instead of tube, and has a pin drive instead of dogs. This handle saves 5/6d compared with the tubular one piece handle and is 1/4lbs heavier.

If the pin drive is satisfactory, it can be applied to the tubular handle, and it will be up to the Works to say which form of drive is easier to produce.

The alternative of the handle outside the bumpers shown on this Lec. is being tried out in principle on P.III. and at this stage should not be detailed for trial on Wraith.

E/PSN.

Att:Lec.5623.
