E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has now agreed that he will go over the brake system which has been drawn out by you and By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} for the 15,000 miles test to see if he can pass it for production should it be successful. Alternatively, he will suggest modifications. We will discuss it with you on Saturday morning.

Mths.{Reg Matthews}
It is proposed that we fit Brico liners on the next 15,000 mile test on P.III as those cast by Sheepbridge Stokes are so expensive. We should like you to find out whether the composition of the two irons are in any way different.

JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems}
We want to know immediately whether there is going to be any shortage of petrol when the pumps with the G.5. diaphragm are fitted to the P.III. We must know this immediately because pumps are being changed. We must also follow up the scheme which has been designed by E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and get the pump as soon as ever possible. We must also urge the pump scheme which has been designed by E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} for the P.III. We rely on you to get in touch with the manufacturing and detailing of these parts and keep us regularly informed as to their progress. [Handwritten: Keep on.]

We want to see if we can find a place for the petrol filter when we remove the side guards from the P.III. We also want to find a better place than the rear crossmember on Wraith. Please let me have your suggestions. [Handwritten: Keep on.]

The outside petrol filler was discussed. We told Sales the worst difficulties were created by the fact that they insisted on having the face of the filler vertical and that if they would allow it to be slanted slightly as on the Rover a nozzle could enter and it could also be filled with a petrol can. Will you please arrange the filler on G-B-IV like this as soon as possible. [Handwritten: Keep on.]

We are expecting you to carry out tests on under bonnet temperature as outlined by E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} in his memo. In particular we want to know whether the carburation is affected in cold weather by keeping the radiator shutters open and controlling the engine water circulating temperature only by Thermostat.
