PHANTOM 111. CHASSIS. REAR BRAKES.

Please receive herewith blueprints of G.CD. 558 showing the modified Rear Brakes for the above chassis.

The object of this scheme is to provide a set of rear brakes, which have common shoes for hand and foot operation instead of the separate shoes which are standard production.

In this scheme we have shown the present brake shoes (both main and auxiliary) unaltered, but as it may be desired at a future time to build these brakes without auxiliary shoes, we have shown an alternative scheme for the main shoes suitable for use without the standard auxiliary shoe.

We have used the existing rear foot brake shoes instead of the front shoes, as the request of Works, who have a considerable stock.
