Issues with Watford Magnetos for the Falcon X, detailing correspondence with the supplier North & Sons regarding missing and incorrect parts.

Upon receipt of yours EFC7/T16.11.26, we forwarded to North & Sons the 4 magnetos type I.S.12, Nos.83119, 83120, 83132 & 83133, informing them that one of the magnetos was minus the contact breaker component (adding that this was handed to Mr.North here on the 11th inst.) and one was minus the screen - adding that we had retained the screen here as the high tension cables are still attached thereto. We also pointed out that the contact breakers on magnetos 83120 and 83133 are two which have been removed from the 2 machines 83134 and 83135 which Mr.North and Mr.Allen brought here on the 11th inst. and one of the distributor mouldings is one which had failed by tracking. Upon receipt of our letter Norths telephoned us pointing out that the contact breakers fitted in the several magnetos referred to are not interchangeable and it was undesirable that same should be changed about from one magneto to another and they proposed to return to us the 2 contact breakers removed from the 2 magnetos 83134 and 83135, so that they could be restored to the magnetos from which they had been removed. They informed us that they would bring the other magnetos up-to-date and let us have them back as soon as possible. In a letter dated 24th inst. to hand this morning North & Sons inform us that Mr.North hopes to call upon us tomorrow (Friday) and will bring with him the 2 new magnetos to complete our order. They add that they are afraid it will be necessary for us to return to them the 2 magnetos 83134 and 83135 for the modified contact breakers to be fitted and if it is agreeable to us, Mr.North will take them back with him tomorrow (Friday).
