Re Defective Ammeter which caused a blackout on Bentley B.118.JD.{J. Draper - Frames}

We have examined this instrument and find the fault due to bad workmanship.

On examination it was found that the end connection of the actuating coils were loose. The screws holding these connections to the main terminals will not screw down far enough to grip the terminal, thus causing a break in the circuit.
