4. Dynamo. Commutator - Badly worn and requires skimming. Brushes - Badly worn - new set required. Mechanical condition good. Starter Motor. Mechanical condition good and satisfactory electrically. Commutator requires cleaning before re-assembly. Induction Coils. Condition good and satisfactory electrically. ----------- GEAR BOX. 4-H.S. (Cadillac type Gears) Gearbox. Rear Half G.83268. Two small cracks in vicinity of studs on rear face and bore for 3rd motion shaft. Front Half in good condition. 1st Motion Shaft. Floating Bush G.82824 - badly worn and very slack. Engaging dogs - slightly damaged on points. Cone discoloured due to overheating. 2nd Motion Shaft. 2nd speed sliding piece G.82905 - slightly damaged on points of dogs, also similar damage to points of dogs on mating piece G.82904. Bushes for 2nd Speed Gear G.81727 worn .010 on flange causing excessive end float. 2nd speed inner cone badly scored. All gears show even bedding. 3rd Motion Shaft. Sliding piece G.82882 slight damaged on points of dogs also worn on splines. 1st and 3rd Speed Inner Cones distorted and bedding very badly, also scored on faces. | ||
